All New Sunday School

In this month's Slate, there is an article about the new Sunday School curriculum we're gearing up for. You can download the Slate here if you haven't seen it yet. You might wonder, "What's new about this Sunday School?" Here's a list of some things that are new and different:
- New realistic artwork Every Bible story has a drawing to go with it, which has been drawn specifically for this curriculum.
- New Music Every student in the lower levels will receive a CD full of hymns, as well as memory verse and catechism portions set to new music. The older students will also use this music in the opening devotions and in the classroom.
- Connections to the church year Lessons are designed to prepared the children to gather with the congregation in public worship. They will be introduced to words and symbols used in worship, as well as music and hymns. During part of the year, the lessons will be tied to the Gospel lessons read in worship.
Sunday School starts on September 10th. During Family Bible Hour on September 3rd, we'll preview the materials and go through the first lesson.
